ROLE

1.   The CCUNDOF Supply Platoon provides 2nd line support to the UNDOF mission. As the custodian of UNDOF stores and equipment, the Supply Platoon is responsible for the proper receipt, inspection, accounting, security, warehousing and issue of all second line supply assets.

ORGANIZATION

2.   The Supply Platoon has a total strength of 25 personnel (1 Capt, 1 MWO, 4 Sr NCOs, and 19 Jr NCOs) and is divided into two sections. System Control Officer - SCO and Materiel Control Officer - MCO).

TASKS

3.   The Supply Officer (Capt) is responsible for the overall operations and leadership of the Platoon. The Supply Administration Officer - SAO / Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant - RQMS (MWO) is the Platoon 2i/c responsible for operations, administration, discipline and training.

4.   Stock Control Section - responsible for 2nd line customer support and Supply Platoon administration (5 pers).

a.  Customer Services - coordination and control center for all 2nd line customer support and acts as the focal point for all routine supply activity.

b.  Stocktaking - conducts cyclical stocktakings on all 2nd line assets as well as all contingent ammo storage facilities and holdings. Coordinates stocktakings of Canadian Owned Equipment.

5.   Materiel Control Section - responsible for the receipt, inspection, security, conditioning, warehousing and issue of all 2nd line assets (18 pers).
a.  Rations - coordinate the delivery of fresh rations from contractors on both sides of the Area of Separation, direct to the kitchens and receive and store dry and frozen foodstuffs for the contingents. The rations section has a number of warehouses, refrigerators and freezers to store their goods.

b.  POL - provide bulk refueling points on both sides of the AOS as well as miscellaneous packaged POL products.

c.  Warehouse - storage of general and CE items. There are a total of four warehouses used as indoor storage facilities as well as outdoor storage areas.

d.  Receipt and Inspection - responsible for the receipt, inspection and issue of all stores into the mission. The contingents are responsible to pick-up their stores from the R & I section.

6.   One of the camp pets "Dina" is taken care of by the Supply Platoon. She is considered a member of the platoon and often joins in the weekly marches.
